The following are brief descriptions of the various trainee programs.
Financial audit trainee program—Are you working toward your accounting designation? The Office of the Auditor General of Canada is authorized and recognized by the Institutes/Ordre for all the designations you are working toward.
Every fall, we recruit financial audit trainees. Watch for our employment offers in September.
Performance audit trainee program—Are you a graduate student in an area such as public or business administration, the environment, social sciences and applied sciences, law or engineering? Have you ever considered a career at the OAG after you complete your Master’s?

Co-op students—If you are registered in a university or college co-op program and you are looking for a stimulating placement, you may be interested in the placements the OAG offers as part of its co-op program.

Financial audit summer student employment—Every year, we recruit many students for the summer. Most of our summer jobs are for university students in accounting or administration programs who will be assigned to financial audits.
Other summer student employment—We also recruit students for summer employment in fields other than accounting. The Public Service Commission’s Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) offers students a variety of employment opportunities. Click here to apply for the FSWEP.
