If you’re looking to get valuable work experience during your university years, consider a summer job with the Office of the Auditor General. Every year, we hire many summer students, usually in our head office, although some opportunities may arise in our regional offices.
Most of our summer jobs are for university accounting or business students who will work on our financial audits, including auditing the Government of Canada’s financial statements.
In our Office, you will get a good idea of what auditing is all about and will be able to put your university training into practice. You’ll join a team of experienced auditors and gain an appreciation for our work.
We are interested in students with an above-average academic record (B+ or better) who will be pursuing an accounting designation (CA, CGA, or CMA) once they graduate. In order to be eligible for the Summer Student Program, students must be pursuing their studies full-time.
Watch for our job postings in fall and winter.
You aren’t a numbers person?
You can still apply! We use the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) to recruit our non-audit summer students.
Please click here to leave our website and make a request for admission to FSWEP through the Public Service Commission of Canada.
We look forward to meeting you!
