The 2020 Spring Reports of the Office of the Auditor General of Canada are as follows:

Report 1—Immigration Removals. We examined whether the Canada Border Services Agency, in coordination with the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, removed individuals ordered to leave Canada as soon as possible. Individual circumstances can influence the removal process and cause delays beyond the agency’s control, so we focused on the agency’s efforts to ensure timely removal in cases that were enforceable.

Report 2—Student Financial Assistance. This audit focused on whether Employment and Social Development Canada and the Canada Revenue Agency efficiently managed financial assistance to post-secondary students and the risks to the public purse, while helping students attend colleges and universities. The audit also focused on whether the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada collaborated with stakeholders to strengthen students’ financial literacy.

Report 3—Supplying the Canadian Armed Forces—National Defence. We examined whether National Defence supplied the Canadian Armed Forces with the materiel they needed, when needed while avoiding needless transportation costs. We examined the supply chain for selected materiel from the time of purchase to the delivery of the materiel. Selected materiel includes tools, spare parts, uniforms, and specialized clothing and rations, and excludes ammunition, bombs, and missiles, and stand-alone equipment such as aircraft, vessels, and vehicles.

Special Examinations of Crown Corporations. We will also be providing Parliament with copies of our reports on the special examinations of the following Crown corporations: Canadian Commercial Corporation, Standards Council of Canada, and National Gallery of Canada.

The 2020 Spring Reports of the Auditor General of Canada will be available on the Office of the Auditor General of Canada Website immediately following tabling.
