Media Advisory—The Auditor General of Canada will appear before the Standing Committee on Public Accounts to discuss the Yukon government’s consolidated financial statements and the Auditor General’s procurement and contracting report
Ottawa, 8 January 2025—The Auditor General of Canada, Karen Hogan, will appear before the Standing Committee on Public Accounts of the Yukon Legislative Assembly in Whitehorse on 14 and 16 January 2025.
The first hearing will focus on the 2023–24 Consolidated Financial Statements of the Government of Yukon. The hearing will take place on Tuesday, January 14, at 1:00 pm (Whitehorse local time).
The second hearing will focus on the report on the Yukon government’s procurement and contracting, which was tabled on 26 November 2024. The hearing will take place on Thursday, January 16, at 1:00 pm (Whitehorse local time).
Both hearings will take place at the Yukon Legislative Assembly.
Procurement and Contracting—Government of Yukon. The purpose of this audit was to determine whether Yukon government organizations had established a competitive procurement environment and made procurement and contracting decisions that resulted in value for money for the people of Yukon.
